You make a broad general statement about the lack of reliability in USDM cars then you praise a turbo mitsubishi.
The CTS-V gets around 16/25mpg, to the STOCK evo's 16/22mpg. The ctsv being a luxury GT saloon that weighs more and makes more power.. What's the evo's excuse? CTS-V's ride isn't nearly as harsh as a stock evo(again let alone the fq400), it is bigger and is more comfortable for long rides, duh its a luxury car. I would hope it would be faster with sticky tires & stiff suspension.

Youtubers never disappoint me with your consistency to make some of the most ignorant comments found on the internet. A round of applause to those of you who have contributed.

MilitantOldLady (May 15, 2008 at 8:14 pm)
have you been dropped at birth or something? you cant be serious...american cars are best kept on the american continent...oceans away from modern civilisation

i give u right now a few problems with it..
1 it is american (Americans do not know how to make reliable and decent cars)
2 as usual in american cars need alots of fuel and has a huge engine with what 450 bhp or 500 bhp? ..
all i need is Evo FQ 400 cheaper, much better in all ways like Handling, less fuel to run uses a 2.0 turbo 4 cylinders engine, is much more usable in day to day, race track... anyplace. ahhh and is much faster as well
jorgekontor (May 15, 2008 at 5:29 pm)
well.. first is rubbish in all aspects, ugly, too big engine to only a few ponies, and moust of all needs tons of fuel to run a couple of miles.. even that they tryed to make it good it is still not comparable to european perfection.

In the US the CTS-V starts at $53k. Probably the only car I'd seriously consider over an Audi.

when is clarkson going to drive the new 09 cts which is by the way the fastest 4 door saloon at nuburgring. im guessing that he wont want to drive the new cts as he will find it hard to find problems with it

Man this is the most biased show of all time. First he complains about the "bong". U turn on the key AND LEAVE THE KEY ON and it bongs, undo the seatbelt and open the door WITH THE KEY ON and it bongs. No shit Sherlock just like every other car. Then he calls it cheap but can't "put his finger on it". I can. He hates all things american. Even when he smokes the stig in an Audi he still rips on it. He'll never admit to anything good coming from the USA.

I understand, I love cars no matter where they're from, but it's just the way the American auto market works that makes them seem cheap. A foundation of the US market is that the big 3 auto companies make cars that people want as fast as they can at the lowest cost. This results from, and because of, the parts industry in our country. If they started making better quality cars, they wouldn't sell as many vehicles, not to mention the loss in replacement parts. Basically profits>quality. |
