I have a 2008 Lancer GTS with the CVT. In sport mode you manually shift gears 1,2,3,4,5,6. In "D" it does the continuous variable changing like you mentioned in your statement.

It's CVT gearbox in Sport Mode ( Fix ratio gears). 6 speeds and it's Lancer GTS.

Thats not a CVT gearbox!!! In case you havent noticed, it changes gears and CVT doesnt have gears. CVT stands for CONTINUOS VARIABLE Transmition. Tharefore, no 1-2-3-4
