You have a point, but during a recession, demand will decrease worldwide. This includes premium class travel, which keeps the bottom lines of any airline in the black.
Question: will Emirates, Singapore, Ethiad, Qatar, Qantas... will they be able to fill their A380's during this recession? Sure jet fuel is cheaper (for those who didn't hedge) but will premium travels continue to pay that much?
It's eerily similar to Pan American's 747 binge in the 70's, an act that nearly killed the blue ball.

Impressive plane, spent a few days visting most of the capitals around the country and I hope it's a Great Success - kinda sad though it dodn't do a a few low passes over Longreach/Winton - not to the best of my knowledge anyway - yhought that was real sad for the folks there!

who cares to have the most domestic airlines if the on board service sucks? Every airline in the world has suffered the impact and that's not an excuse...British Airways, Air France, KLM, Swiss to don't talk about a lot of asian airlines.

Not all American airlines are doing this - get your shit straight before you go off and launch some biased patriotic escapade. Quantas is an amazing airline for sure, but the US has BY FAR the most domestic airlines of any country, so the numbers are skewed. Some don't charge for anything, like Virgin American and Southwest. They're also being hit by increased fuel costs, security fees, US markets, and increased competition - most of which don't really impact an Australian-based carrier.

Be aware no US Airlines Orders...
Sore Losers...they prefer to file Bankrupcy and send their workers back home instead of invest in the most FUEL EFFICIENT AIRCRAFT currently on the marquet...
Right?

actually it's a new technique where they use 'video projectors' - sounds daffy, but apparently it's been around for some time.
