Hmm? Cooler eh? All in the eye of the beholder I guess. And ENV is capable of 50mph too - and that's with a limiter on its engine...

The electric car was scrapped for political reasons. See "Who killed the electric car?" Film on DVD available from Amazon. Ironically ENV was launched on the day that the last EV1 electric car was reposessed by GM...

sweet bike, but would need lights, horns, brake lights, exc to get it on the road, and how would they do that with no room for a battery

It is a chicken and egg problem. For this to take off, someone has to build some Hydrogen refilling station and have a system to deliver the Hydrogen gas from a production site.

I don't think you can buy one yet. Google the term "Suzuki Crosscage" and "Intelligent Energy ENV", you may find more info on this concept bike. If you cannot find a Hydrogen filling station near you, this bike is dead in the water. Don't hold your breath for anything hydrogen powered, they are just for the show. Wait another 10 or 20 years to see something really worth buying. |
