Yes. The show is based off of the journal of a girl and her struggle with the progression the disease. While it has been dramatized for the show, the basis of the story is very real.

OMG. so scary. i so scared that i might also get the disease. i also like her, keep dropping things, then, cant really do the movements that i want. scared already yah. cant use the chopsticks properly like last time, AHH.. must go have check up soon. hope dont have the same disease as aya-nee. erika acted very well(: love her acting(: love this show(:
