Keep in mind that i agree with you that extreme cases of circumcision are detrimental. Stitching, cutting off the clitoris entirely, and other kinds of extreme surgeries are FGM, female genital mutiliation.

Actually most doctors say there it isn't detrimental, unless you're talking about the extreme cases which include stitching and cutting off the clitoris entirely. Ask a doctor if shortening the labia or even cutting them off, cutting the foreskin under the pubas, and shortening the clitoris, is deterimental. If he says yes ask him why, but i doubt he will say yes. As for legality, i already showed you that some laws are ridiculous.

Well I'm not interested in refering back through the ages to romans etc, we have to be modern and most doctors say it is detrimental the the women. And fiddling with kids genetals is for the creepy and is ILLEGAL.

About allowing the person to choose; by the time the person is an adult capable of responsible decisions the procedure may be alot more painful because of the maturity of the vagina, thus deterring them. It's a parental decision in most cases and that's not a problem unless they are uneducated and mutilate their child by excessive "circumcision". Would you say we should let children choose if they want to go to school or not, or if they should be grounded? Some things are just decided for you.

The laws of all modern countries forbidding something doesn't mean they're necessarily right. When the romans and greeks were the most modern countries they had no problem with the high class raping their slave women, does that mean it was right because they were modern in comparison to other countries back then? Actually according to the muslim view, female circumcision isn't manditory, it's only recommended. Also, complete removal or removal of the majority of the clit is forbidden.

Why not believe the doctors and the WHO, and the laws of all modern countries. Why not allow the person to choose? And what is it with muslims being to infatuated with the a girls vagina? It is boderline pedophilia. Adult women never descide to get it done either!

Why is prostitution illegal but not alimony?

Since when are the laws always in the best interest of the people? There are certain laws that are universally regarded as basic human rights, and then there are other wacky laws that make no sense: How is the concept of bail for criminals ethical or fair? Why let the rich criminal out but not the poor one who can't afford it? Why is weed illegal but not alcohol? Weed is less dangerous.

Bladder, urinary tract infections, and cysts occur only if the tools used for the circumcisions aren't steralized properly. This isn't an inherent flaw of circumsicion, rather it's a mistake on the part of the people performing it. Stitching is an extreme form only carried out in the most barbaric places, i wouldn't recommend that. Cutting or shorting the labia and foreskin around the pubus, and shorting the clitoris a little has no ill documented effects though.

Youtube isn't letting me post comments on this thing longer than about 20 characters for some reason
