cadillac cts-v is definately the best. welcome to the top again (almost)

the cts-v has earned my money for sure, having said that, the E63 looks like the family car of a euro fighter pilot, inside and out; having said that!!! If the E63 wasn't 100K plus, I would give if some very very serious consideration!! but at 40-50K more and only being as fast as the cts-v, the look's and toys aren't enough to make up for the extra cash... for me any way.

yes, turbolag is a horrid thing to experience, and having you ass handed to you by a civic type R, would surly make any evo owner cringe. BUT, I'm sure turbolag is one of the reason cadillac choose to go with a super charger. and your right a NA engine will give you better control at the limit. But the reason you would care about having more control at the limit, is to get around the track as fast as possible, so if having more control still yields a lose, what good is it really doing you?

You haven't heard about the gigantic turbolag the FQ400 develops?
NA FI
When you're driving NA car at the limit, it simply gives you better controlability over the car and you can balance the car through the throttle better.

I read the article in CD mag and what Mike Austin doesn't tell you is that they used a manuel drive CTS-V cause they could find an automatic. (lol)
What they don't mention in this U-tube video is that the CTS-V automatic runs 3.9 sec in 0-60 to beat the E63. So for 40k less the Caddy has more power, better acceleration, quickest top end to 150MPH, and better overall ride with it's magnetic ride control.
I think it's caught up there Mikey, just not in PP (pay promote) to CD mag.

The Benz is hella expensive, but it is the best car here, by far.

I like the Jag when it debuted but soon after the design got boring. Plus it doesn't look expensive. The Cadillac seems to lead in performance and value yet it's still missing something. The AMG seems to be between the 2 in terms of all around performance yet it's presentation, higher level of craftsmanship and tailored appearance is simply on another level. It's finished like a $100K car! |
