i love the movie Donnie Darrco. in the end of the movie when this song starts playing, the instrumentation and tempo matches the feeling of the scene. its suppose to be dramatic and sad in the Gary Jules version, the lyrics match that moment in the movie. but i love the original versoin by Tears For Fears. it doesnt make me think of being at a funeral as much. O_o

I like the other version better. :[ This seems too fast for the lyrics' meaning.

Tears for Fears was greatness, saw them live a couple of times, sounded just like the studio version... maybe better. I like the "emo" version nearly as well and am glad every time I hear it as it reminds me of the original.

its called new wave and it was about 20 years before the cover version so it will be different. The instrumentation and tempo on this version fits the lyrics a lot better as they are simply pessimistic, not apocalyptic and self-hating as gary jules irritating emo voice would make u believe

Is that what they told you as your bumhole was getting fondled?

how old are you?? because if you are an adult (which im assuming, only because most of the people who prefer this version are adults) then that's very pathetic. both versions are awesome
