Is that the only major problem with this weapon? If it is that can easily be fixed.

Once they get the buttstock to keep from cracking and breaking it will be a nice weapon.

gas system looks pretty similar to the minimi's so it probably comes apart in the same way it cleans pretty easily

how are you mean to clean the gas port? might be ok that all the carbon sticks around the gas port until it gets blocked and doesn't cylce the weapons, can it be cleaned easily or what?

From guys who have had the opportuninty to fire it (full auto as well), have told me you need gloves for extended firing (as you would have in a range session). If you are only putting 60 rds or so down the pipe, it's not that bad.

What about heat transfer if you don't have a vertical foregrip?

The rail is attached to the base of the barrel only. The cirular ring at the front of the rail is kind of a guide and doesn't fit tight with the barrel. The forward screws go into the rail, so if you have a VG, you aren't pulling down on the barrel. It is solidly attached to the rest of the rifle.

It currently is not true, but has been proposed. They would likely need a longer bolt to accomplish this, but not exactly sure on how they planned on doing that.

this looks great. but I have a question. I've read a couple of times that the Heavy variant can shoot the 7.62 NATO and the 7.62 X 39. is that true? I don't understand how if it is true.

Taking all guns apart is easy. It's just easier to have two carbines with two different length barrels anyway. You're getting into a realm of irrelevance with the time it takes to switch barrels. The AUG's weakness is that pace and heads up is more important. That's why most reject the bullpup format. Too much fumbling around. Do they think the the launcher is big enough? The M203 always had personal mounting platform. It's just a deck with an HK style wire stock. It's smaller
