lol. i know! why do you think i posted this video! just kidding...i know property rights exist because i live with them every day.

right staseman. this message is not pacifism. this video explains property rights in its most simplistic form. it can become very complex. but it is not pacifism. tiifae. as we should all know, not all humans are benevolent. this is why government is called into existence. crime is just a fact of life. but in order to have a relatively peaceful society people must be responsible which means people should respect other peoples property.

who said anything about 'unlimited' property rights? my rights are limited by your rights.

2) The richest members of society typically have all they need and all the luxuries they want so they tend to spend any increase in their income A) on shares which they get dividends from, B) on property which they get rent from or C) on usuary which they get interest from this means that while contributing NO labour themselves they gain capital on the wealth they already have acrued from those who ARE actually contributing labour in order to make a living. This is a form of... slavery!

unlimited property rights DO NOT EXIST IN NATURE, and any society that permits unlimited property rights accelerates wealth to the wealthiest! I can demonstrate both of these 1) Have you ever seen a bird leaving a nest charging another bird for the use of that nest once it builds a new one? In an ideal world you are always entitled to earn a bigger home but never entitled to own the home of someone else and charge them for it!

if no one owns my life then how come i have to pay the mortgage company or landlord just for the privelage of living somewhere

Sure they would, just as banana sellers would like us to eat bananas. That doesn't imply some conspiracy theory, oil reps going around beating up electric car drivers or something! BP invest more in alternative fuels research than almost any other company in the world. The pollution problem is a 'problem' of the commons (state assimilation of private property for 'public property' & externalisation of pollution costs via taxation). I.e. we *should* all being suing the SHIT out of Exxon et al!

How do you think 'monopoly' protects itself from competition? Through the state apparatus (hence lobbying, aka bribery) via favourable regulations, laws, war etc. It shunts competition, this could not happen in a laissez faire 'capitalist' society (which we DON'T have as I've said). I think your beef is with corporatism, not capitalism per say. After all in a free-market situation workers would have more say (and pay!) anyway. Get rid of government, evil Mr.Bankster & Co. will crumble to dust.
