Exodus 15:20, which just read, said that the WOMEN followed her. There's nothing to ponder here. The King didn't "submit" to anyone. That's a strange word to use.

I would like to see these explained:
1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
Tit 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

The chapter prior to the one your referring to has Paul given recommendations for women who prophesy (re: church wear). Is Paul contradicting himself? No. Because only in the English KJV do we read Paul saying "Women keep silent". In the actual Greek and the way every other language translate the Scripture Paul is saying, "You say, women keep silent...but who has called you?" Check it out for yourself.

I think these scriptures will shed some light on your study. Romans8:3-5; Romans8:9; Galatians 5:16; 1 corinthians 3:16; Galatians 3:27-29. I like your response to when your faced with a contradiction.

I am sure you did not mean it as such, but you made it sound like a man can say anything, but a woman has to be submissive. I would like to point out that ANYONE who speaks from or teaches from the Bible should first and foremost be submitted to Christ.

Women are simply not meant to rule over men, at least according to the Bible. Yes, women can speak in the church; however, always in a submissive manner. If you don't have a husband and you're desperate to ask questions, go to an Elder- thats what they are there for.

Those scriptures say let the 'woman/women' keep silent not the 'wife/wives'. Can a woman witness to male/female about the gospel? yes. Can a woman hold the office of prophetess? yes. Can a woman hold the office of authority over man when it comes to teaching, pastoring or apostleship? no. No woman in scripture has authority over man. Deborah may have judged over Israel but it was God's word that was sought not her authority.
