Great opening theme. What ever happened to Frank Converse?

Dear Jiltedin, Al Pacino only guest starred in this series. He portrayed a violent racist, who was shot and wounded in the opening scene in the park by black militants. Tony Lobianco was a semi-regular in this series , as a detective. Another semi-regular was Denise Nicholas (As Robert Hook's wife), just before she achieved fame in the "Room 222" series.

Wait! Now we all know that Jack Warden was Buttermaker in the "Bad News Bears" TV Series. But tell me. Was Al Pacino not on this TV Series as well? I was looking this show up on the Internet, and it seems that Al Pacino was also a part of the Cast on the N.Y.P.D. TV Show.

I loved this show.

This is certainly one of the most apt themes in television history. It captures the atmosphere of the show perfectly. It also brings back a flood of great memories.

I have several of these on tape...such a cool show, filmed in NYC with hand-held cameras...and it's a great show for watching future stars!
