The Talking Heads in my opinion is one of the few bands that documented the mood and the ideas of the 80s, the good and bad, so thoroughly through their songs.
I'm still waitin for a band that could do that for the 2000s. Like the 80s, these are surreal times indeed.

I always thought David Byrne was an underrated lyricist.. one of my friends pointed to me that none of his lines ever rhymed.. seems that the other 98% of rock musicians do that, but found a way around it. Good for him.
