"we are fingers of consciousness for the one consciousness"

His magic still works. With his impaired body and affected discursive mind he still has full presence of consciousness, maybe even more than he used to have. Maharajji for me lives through him and always has, though I don't hav THE experience.

He's right, we are awareness, the same awareness that gives life to everything in this universe. And it's not two, or three, or trillions of awarenesses. It's totally shared, with no separation at all, whatsoever. I've observed this again and again in my life since first hearing the message of non-duality. It's a self evident truth if we only know where to look to see it. And when we see it we experience an abundance of love in our life that we then share with the world around us.

This is so good. This is the first time I've seen Ram Dass since seeing Fierce Grace. I watch that movie all the time it's so inspiring but so sad. I read his book A Journey of Awakening, it was what introduced me to meditation. I was saddened to hear about his stroke, but if anything it's just become a challenge for him that's inspiring other people who have illnesses of their own to face.

I met Ram Dass for the first time last month. Looking into his eyes was like looking thru the universe. He spoke at a seminar and did a great job considering the effects of the stroke he suffered 8 years ago. He was funny and coherent, it just takes a little bit for him to express himself. Listen with love and patience. |
