what's everyone's beef with the whistle? I think the contrast between the whistle and the message of the song is quite brilliant. It gives a real off balance edge to the anger in the song. Dylan did anger like noone i've ever heard and the whistle was part of that. I for one miss the whistle.....i'm gonna go and find my whistle.
