its based off the same guy silence of the lamb was based off... the writers of this and a bunch of movies just got the idea off of a crazy murderer and then turned it into their own story

*sighs* No Leatherface isn't real. TCM is loosely based on Ed Gein. As in the corpse digging, the furniture, and etc. Everything else is just created. The "true story" aspect was added just to scare people more. It's been said by the filmmakers. It's just fact.

well you cant really say he isnt real he was he just didnt use a chainsaw and he didnt kill that much people i hate people saying this it ruins the movie for people who do think its real i say let people believe what they want to believe |
