he came to my country to conduct our local symphony orchestra many years ago, and i couldn't afford the tickets. not long after, he died. sigh. you have no idea how i regret not just going anyway!

A wonderful piece of film. In my humble opinion, the real star here is the awesome Sir Adrian Boult. Such economy of movement, but total control, and at all times putting the music first.
