Thanks for this. Happy Thanksgiving. I saw him in a concert at Cleveland. He sang this song and it resulted in my marriage for nearly thirty years and still going!

I supposed we've all had someone like this in our lives. I call it the "Sam song". Former female friend of mine, several years ago. Same thing, almost to the song words.
Only instead of "she left me with a broken heart, won her victory", it was "She left me with a broken heart, and minus 103". Stands for the amount of money she stuck me with for unpaid, overdue video rentals one night. Her friends found them underneath a pile of clothes. Cost me $103. Thus, this is the Sam song.
