Its vital that they spend money in western industries like Airbus , Boeing (Emirates Airline ) and car industries aswell like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Rolls Royce etc and provide jobs for imigrants, cause they dont have own technologie and competencies..

I read some of comments here. First of all, Dubai has it's incomes from trade and not from oil. People here write everything without knowing anything about economy, industry, or even culture. Regarding oil supplies, it is not true that they (UAE-United Arab Enirates) are short with it. On the contrary, the Abu-Dhabi Government has announced that they have oil for the next 150 years. These people here should read more about the similar topics if they want to say something.

So what, are self sufficient dynamic buildings really that innovative? We had already started the use of wind power and solar on buidlings. I thought dynamic architecture was made to resist strong winds. And I'm not entirely sure what the logical reason is for making the world shaped islands. It's very pretty. What about the lines of buildings, seems to me people will just get stuck in traffic w/o cars or have longer travel time. Why not a more boxed commuunity?

And one day we'll all be dead, and the sun will give out, and there will be new forms of life. What's your point? Should we not enjoy life while we can? Would you prefer the world were one giant utilitarian state, with no forms of creative expression? What these people are creating is simply an outlet for their artistic expression. Hell, have you seen the dynamic architecture project? That thing powers itself. That means it will be more efficient than any of our buildings.

You know Dubai is huge on trade, right? You already do business with them in many ways.
