YouthAIDS Walk
High school students from Columbia, Missouri held a fundraiser for YouthAIDS, an HIV/AIDS awareness and education program of Population Services International. The fundraiser revolved around the number 21: Each student walked 21 miles on Dec. 21, after soliciting 21 sponsors to donate at least $1 a mile. While $1 doesn't seem like a lot, the group raised nearly $6,000!
