Cosmetic damage: car was keyed, front seats slashed. Scratch on hood and both passenger doors, rear bumper.
I bought this car with no keys, got her running and drove home.; Changed the oil and took it for an emissions test; passed with flying colors. Zero Nox! I drive it every day, needs a bit of work but the expensive stuff is done.
I have the date/serial stamp from the engine: Manufatured by GM, July 2003. Engine was an insurence claim. Total bill was $15,000. Trans inspected by Transmissions and Gears of brantford; not a spec of metal, less clutch material than a grain of salt. Shifts perftect.
Previous owner lost the keys and the car sat for a year. I replaced the rotted rear shocks with the ones from the 2000 in my other ad. They work great. I rebuilt the air compressor but it is weak, i believe the drier is leaking. I will be replacing the entire unit, just waiting for it to show up.
It drives straight, no clunks (well... engine mount, common..) see's lots of WOT. Iev put 7000km on it. Oil life is at 20%, i just put 2 litres in 4 days ago. Coolant was also changed, did it when i changed the oil. Hasn't lost a drop.
mmm, pretty much all i can think of... oh, it needs a VSS ($15), this one messes up around 110km/h. I have another one i can swap in, takes 10 minutes.
Nice car, quick car, shifts hard with no slips. Oh ya, sunroof and black leather, aftermarket stereo (pioneer HU with 2 USB, pioneer door speakers, Orion 12 inch sub in rear deck. Nothing huge, sounds as clean as the factory, but louder with added USB and Satalite.).
I can safety the car for more; needs rear calipers ( i have a full set) front pads and rotors, and a passenger side windshield wiper :) . Needs nothing else for safety. Tires are grrrrrrrrrrrreat.
