      1987 Cadillac Brougham

This was a one owner car (till I took possession).  It is truly the story of  a retired couple  who only drove the car to the grocery store, church and the bank.

       132xxx miles

      The good:

-Most Cadillac documentation from when it was sold new

-Owner’s manual and other pamphlets in original Cadillac binder

      - 2 original Cadillac keys with Cadillac insignia (not copies), original valet key

-Car starts in a split second.  High idle works great with low-idle kick-down.  Does not appear to burn oil.  Very solid mechanicals.  The husband was a machinist and detail oriented.

-There is a stack of receipts in a folder from all of the maintenance.  This is a solid running car.

-Interior and exterior electronics and lighting is great.  Full power adjustability on the seats is great.  Hood blinker and high-beam candela perches work 100%

-All of the Cadillac emblems and badging are intact

      -New(er) tires.

      - Body is great.  Virtually rust free on major panels

      - Recent PA inspection – Good till 1/15.  Great brakes, tires, suspension, bearings, ball-joints, etc.

      - Drives like a cloud.  Awesome Costco shopping.  Better than a truck!

      - Wire hubcaps are NICE.  So is the awesome steering wheel cover but I think the wire hubcaps are better.

Not so good but not bad.. these are some things that I haven’t looked into yet nor repaired:

-Cruise Control no work.  Dash light for the controls indicate just fine for “on” and “speed set” but the throttle does not hold.

-Lower small rust spots on doors.   Body is in fantastic shape.  Though, there is some pitting at the inner lower areas of the doors.  Could be sanded a bit and be spray bombed.  Up to you.  We’re talking surface rust.. not penetrating holes.   Not nearly that bad.

-Rubber seal rot.  The car has the original window and door seals.  The car did spend a fair amount of time outside and the seals are marginally cracked.

-Car has been re-painted at some point.  Not necessarily a bad thing because the paint is shiny and in decent shape.  However, there is an odd tape line on some trim here and there.  Details details.  If some time were spent on paint removal, you would never see it.

-Left radio channels are wonky.   Sometimes only the right side plays.  Tape deck is good.

-Car is slow.  Very slow.  Don’t expect much from 170hp.  J
