1997 Cadillac Deville (Needs HG - For Repair or Parts)

      Description:

      For Sale: 1997 Deville.

      140,xxx miles

NEW: radiator, water pump, thermostat, front struts.

RECENT: Used Transmission (50k miles) Professionally done by Southeastern Transmissions in Olean, NY. Has balance of 12mo/12k Warranty left (work done in April 2010) - Also have done  rear knuckle bushings with the Last Shot Kit. worked PERFECT.

Should replace: Rear Air Shocks. I installed a manual level/fill kit because the bags have a slow leak. compressor and stock lines are still there. install fuse, hook lines up, and you're done.

Not-so-kosher: custom dual 2.5" catback exhaust needs replaced. the mandrel bends i used are starting to or have rusted through. Also the horn button has been disabled (due to weak/bad springs/broken post) and a custom button rerouted and placed in heater vent. works and passes inspection. All that matters. - the interior shows it's age as well. torn bolster on driver's seat, worn/warped trim, stained carpets, etc. it's 14 years old now. this is to be expected.

the BAD: as with every northstar engine no matter what at some point you will be replacing head gaskets. that is what this motor needs.

Right now the car is completely wired for a custom stereo but will come with stock tape deck. fronts and rears are pioneer speakers, the wiring kit is all 1/0 Kicker front to back with 250a fuse and a distribution block in trunk for multiple 4ga power. You can safely run 3000 watts (easily) and not worry about your wiring with this setup.

car body and mechanics are solid. ran great and prior to the head gaskets was extremely reliable and fast for a two ton four door car. gets high teens in town and over 30mpg at 55-65mph. Best 1/4 mile pass of 14.7s. I simply do not have the time and facilities to repair myself and would rather have my Cisco CCNA cert than another car project.

$750 OBO. the transmission alone was ~1450 installed (800 or so JUST for the trans) and i have probably another grand into it with all the other parts.

Title is clear and immediately available. FYI You could probably make double your money parting the car out. i just don't have the patience to do so. my loss = your gain.

I have also gutted the airbox and cut out behind the headlight, relocated the IAT sensor, eliminated the TC/ABS with resistors in the connectors, 7075 Solid Aluminum Dogbone Mounts, Different FPR (on advice of AJxtcman), Removed Windshield Waster Tank for a CAI/RAI that i never made (should still have it somewhere)...And i have a spare TB/Spacer you could send in for a core for porting. I'll add others as a remember.

If you ever choose to part it out I am needing the Cam that the water pump pully attaches to. I would buy that cam all of the cams or even the heads if the price was good. I just replaced the heads on mine and broke the cam when I tried to take the waterpump pully off.

      Thanks

      Tim
