This car is a 1980 Cadillac Sedan Deville with just shy of 23,000 original miles. You'd be hard pressed to find a cleaner one, especially here in New York state.
For sale by the son of the original owner, this car was stored for many years, and was pulled out about two years ago. The fluids were changed, and the engine came to life effortlessly, and drove away on it's original tires.
The tires have since been replaced, a tune up performed, and the car cleaned- but overall, it's nearly 100% original. The pictures are from last year, when the car was first pulled out of storage. The dullness is actually just dust, and the filler panels behind the front bumper have been replaced.
This is probably the best year of the body style. The 368 engine is of course the relative of the almighty 472-500-425 family, and is fed by a non-computerized quadrajet. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a TH400 transmission and nice big axle with 2.29:1 gears. The massive amount of toruqe the engine produces easily overcomes the mild final drive ratio, yet is quiet at cruising speed. This combination makes for effortless driving through hilly terrain without having to constantly floor the accelerator like is required with later models using the 4100 or Olds V8. It's a very nice car to drive, and I have been driving it!
This car has made more than one 500 mile round trips without incident in the last two summers. It does not overheat, does not struggle in hot weather, and can be driven from here to anywhere without any fear of 'old car' troubles.
The owner has sold his home and has moved to a smaller place without garage space, so here it is at my house (a Cadillacforums member) We would love to see this car sold to a new loving owner before the upstate NY winter hits! Price is negotiable as the seller is motivated.
Further pictures upon request. Contact me with any questions or just for more details about this vehicle. The car is road legal and ready for test drives! The title is in hand.
